Join us for a special event at the Domain! SAIVA is excited to announce the Diwali at the Domain Festival! This year at SAIVA’s Diwali at the Domain Festival, we are hoping to have lots of fun and expect to showcase South Asian Culture.
We have many fun activities, and hope to see you there!
One of our seniors explains why this program means a lot to them:
“When I was younger, it was the time when our whole extended family would come to our house.
We would string marigolds, make mithai, and get gifted new clothes from my Amma.
It would be a joyous occasion with lots of laughter and togetherness.
After my mom passed, it was not the same and as we moved abroad we did not have family to celebrate with.
Holidays are meant to come together and not feel isolated. Celebrating Diwali at the Domain brings back the same old memories of how we celebrated when we were younger - together.”
